Connecting Leeds
with Food Support

We coordinate emergency food, affordable meals and donation services across Leeds โ€” helping residents and organisations address food poverty.

What is the Leeds Food Aid Network?

Leeds Food Aid Network (FAN) exists to help bring together people, initiatives and institutions who are involved in tackling food poverty in the city of Leeds. Our framework illustrates three main areas where people working in this field interact. Leeds FAN helps to stimulate these interactions so people can connect more effectively to help those struggling with food poverty.

Food Aid describes any form of food provision that assists someone in a state of food poverty โ€” including Food Banks, Food Drop-Ins, Street Outreaches, Parish/Food Pantries and certain forms of Social Enterprise.

How Our Network Works

Leeds Food Aid Network coordinates three types of food support, connecting providers, organisations and the public across the city.

  • Volunteers at a food bank
    Referral Required

    Food Banks

Free emergency food parcels for people in crisis. Access is through a referral from partner organisations such as GPs, social workers, or community centres. Parcels typically cover 3 days of nutritionally balanced meals for individuals and families.
